leica safari.

I would love to get my hands on one of these Leica M8.2 Special Edition Safari cameras. Only 500 were made and you can get yours for a mere $10,000.

lego camera?

I guess we can expect to see these coming this summer. They aren't actually built out of Lego bricks, but I mean I would've loved this is a kid.

the blackbird.

I saw this camera a while back, but I just noticed it again on Josh Spear's holiday gift guide, and I agree, this would be something nice to receive this Christmas. The Blackbird is a 35mm twin reflex camera that can be held to shoot from the waist or at the eye like a standard camera. It can capture images in a traditional 24x36 or in a square 24x24. Not to mention the camera just looks plain cool. They come from Japan, but you can order them in the states here, just incase.

ok, now i want an iPhone.

Up until this point I've felt like I could sustain all of my cellular activity without an iPhone, but now there is an application called Beat Maker, and I kind of feel like I need an iPhone. This application is like a tiny little studio that allows you to build your own beats using sounds, loops and sequences. You can also import sounds from your computer and then export the final song to use it in your music software. From what I hear, the final product sound pretty good too. Jeeez.

Watch some of these videos too.

stylish new nokia.

I like this new trend of artists and designers teaming up with electronics companies. Zune recently unleashed an artist series for their MP3 player and here is a nice looking new phone from Nokia. Fredrique Daubal has helped the cell phone company design the Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism which has a laser etched back, crystal centerpiece, and plenty of nice technical features as well.

limited edition g-shocks.

I really like these clean limited edition watches by G-Shock. They are doing a vivid color series of select watches for their 25th anniversary. They're going for $120 which isn't bad considering everything a G-Shock has to offer.

vans takes advantage of iphone.

With new technology comes new means for advertising and Vans is one of the first to take advantage of iPhones new technology. Creatives from the Miami Ad School Europe have developed a skateboarding game that uses the iPhone's touch screen feature to control the skaters. You can also choose different characters to skate with and of course you can choose different Vans to skate in. I think this is a pretty genius idea. It will be interesting to see what other companies will develop to reach consumers via the iPhone.

macbook air.

I know it's the natural progression of technology to make things smaller and faster, but this new MacBook Air is ridiculous. The computer is tiny. I feel like my MacBook Pro is a desktop computer compared to that thing. I shouldn't have expected anything less from Apple though. I can only wait and see what amazing thing they come out with next.

vintage Burton.

I have a special place in my heart for Burton since they were my first love when I got into snowboarding at a young age. So I like finding out about everything that has their name or logo on it. Thanks to highsnobiety, I just saw that Burton is going to be bringing out a vintage line of outerwear, which got it's inspiration from late 80's and early 90's outerwear pieces. Check out the post here for more pics.

keep calm gallery.

Keep Calm Gallery showcases a small collection of artists and their designs. I love the collection of prints they have for purchase. Most of the designs are screen printed by hand and can be framed if you like.

hmmm.

I'm not so sure how I feel about this new Chocolate Mint Water by MetroMint. I just imagine a really watered down, cold, hot chocolate taste, but the bottle design looks so good I might just have to give it a try.

scion artist series.

It seems like Scion is advertising and marketing almost everywhere you look in art and culture scenes. Some times I question their strategies, sometimes I applaud their creativity. This is one of the times I applaud their creativity.

Juxtapoz and Scion recently let a few of their favorite artists design their ideal tC or xB. Ron English, Sage Vaughn, and Dalek took this opportunity to create some eye catching rides. Check out the full story here and vote for your favorite car.

a google world.

Google now has a free 411 number to call. All you do is dial 800-GOOG-411 and tell them where you are at and what you are looking for. It will either connect you to the business of your choice or send you a text with information about the business. If you have internet on your phone it can also send you a map of the area you are inquiring about. I'm sure this is only the beginning too. Google has a way of going above and beyond when it comes to these sort of things.

kidrobot x nemesis project.

Check out this track bike that Nemesis Project recently built for one of my favorite brands, Kid Robot. The bike was created as a contemporary art piece for the Kid Robot Store to show during Art Basel Miami Beach, but is 100% ready to ride. The bike is currently on display at at the Kid Robot Miami store but has a list price for $6,000 if your interested calling it your own.

watch out IKEA.

That's right IKEA there's a new store in town and it is looking pretty cool. MUJI just opened it's first flagship store in the U.S. a few days ago in Manhattan. MUJI is a Japenese retail company that is distinguished by it's design minimalism, emphasis on recycling, avoiding waste in production and packaging, and no logo policy. They sell items ranging from men's and women's clothing, to writing pens, to kitchen utensils, to bedroom furniture. The retail chain has around 285 stores in Japan and many more in Europe, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and South Korea. Welcome to the states MUJI.

another collabo.

Here is another street wear brand and snowboard company teaming up for Winter 2008. Rogue Status, a respectable California street wear label, and Arbor Snowboards, a company who has been turning heads the last couple of seasons, have done a pretty cool collaboration, which is set to release Dec. 17th.

what!!??

Burton X Kidrobot Custom 158. This is so sick! Burton and Kidrobot are two of my favorite brands and this collaboration is so cool. I only wish I had enough money to afford one of these limited addition boards.
