are ad's for soda ethical?

psfk recently had a post stimulating discussion on whether or not W+K's ad work for Coca-Cola is similar to ad work for tobacco companies. They ask "should ad agencies have a similar moral decision when it comes to soda as they do tobacco?" Referring to the fact that Coke's cool package design is part of the reason that kids drink to much soda and then have health problems because of it. There's some good responses from readers on the issue.

wrigley's 2 kings event.

The KDU recently put together a pretty impressive team of designers to execute Wrigley's Lebron James and Jay-Z 2 Kings event during the NBA all-star week in New Orleans. This is a pretty cool look for Wrigley's DoubleMint gum. At least it's a little updated since the DoubleMint twins commercials.

you are so last year.

I love You Are So Last Year's style! His patterns and colors just jump out at you. He updated his site a little while back and it is definitely worth checking out. He's got some really impressive ads and type that he's done and he's designed some really sick T's. I'm really loving his Aztek pattern right now.

home shopping for the younger generation.

I first found Honeyshed a several weeks ago but had forgotten about until the other day when I saw some articles on it again. Honeyshed is an online hub for culture, fashion, and mainly a facilitator of online shopping. Honeyshed does not actually sell any of the items they are showcasing they merely provide links to places where you can purchase the items. You can scroll through channels of kicks & lids, tech toys, ladies fashion, fun videos and a few others. So it's basically a website full of commercials, but commercials I don't mind watching.

radiohead remixed.

I was a little skeptical when I heard about Radioheads In Rianbows album being remixed by Amplive. I mean when an album is so good the first time around, why go and try and do it justice by remixing it? However, Amplive did do a pretty good job. There are 8 tracks and appearances by Zion-I, Too Short, and several others. It's now available for free and legal download. It's definitely worth getting.

benjamin bixby.

I love Andre 3000's music and when I saw that he was putting out a clothing line it put a little smile on my face. Next fall Andre Benjamin will be releasing his own line of clothing and I can't wait to see what he comes up with. According to wearethemarket it's going to look a little like "English traditionalism meets all-American flair". Should be pretty fun!

Check out this outdoor home theater system on a house in Los Angeles. And to go with it is a beautiful house and an amazing view. Check out more pictures here...

odeur.

I came across Odeur, a Swedish clothing label, on lifelounge the other day and I really like their style. Their pieces look super comfy and somewhat elegant. They've only been around since 2006 too, so they're probably just getting started. It'll be fun to see what other simple and clean designs they come up with.

I just found this cool little project by Jeremy Pettis. He has created 26 types that get their influence from animals. I think my favorite is zebra.

stylish new nokia.

I like this new trend of artists and designers teaming up with electronics companies. Zune recently unleashed an artist series for their MP3 player and here is a nice looking new phone from Nokia. Fredrique Daubal has helped the cell phone company design the Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism which has a laser etched back, crystal centerpiece, and plenty of nice technical features as well.
